Abstract

The South West Public Health Observatory one of nine regional public health observatories in England, funded by the Department of Health, to strengthen the availability and use of health information at local level. It has data on regional cancer statistics (Cancer Quick Stats provide cancer incidence and mortality statistics for the South West Government Office Region, Strategic Health Authorities in the South West plus Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and for Counties / Unitary Authorities. Survival data are also available for selected regions and Cancer Networks) as well as health and population data which are freely available.
