University of Oxford, Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) - Grade 9: £44,620 - £51,702 p.a.

The Nuffield Department of Population Health contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, The Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) is a thriving group of health economists, with a varied research programme and a well-established reputation as a centre of excellence in this field.

We are seeking a Senior Health Economist to promote, co-ordinate and lead the further development of health economics across the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). Based in HERC and working closely with the BRC, you will participate in regular Theme Leaders meetings, provide regular progress reports to the BRC Director and play a full and active role in the management, research and training activities of HERC and the BRC.

To be considered you will have a relevant PhD/DPhil with significant post-doctoral research experience and an outstanding, internationally recognised reputation in health economics research. An excellent publication record, demonstrated impact of research on policy/practice and experience of playing a leadership role, managing staff and research projects, within a comparable group or organisation are also essential for this role.
