 PART-TIME SENIOR RESEARCHER IN HEALTH ECONOMICS

Grade 8: £39,992 - £47,722 p.a. (pro rata)

The Nuffield Department of Population Health contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) is a thriving group of health economists, with a varied research programme and a well-established reputation as a centre of excellence in this field.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Researcher to support two work programmes in the areas of the economics of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and precision medicine. Using a variety of methodological approaches, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the projects, managing your own research activities, supervising junior staff working on the project, reporting on progress and ensuring the successful dissemination of study findings. You will also be expected to actively explore the potential for further collaborations, supervise junior colleagues and contribute to HERC’s graduate teaching programme.

To be considered for this post you will have a strong graduate and/or postgraduate qualification (a PhD/DPhil or equivalent experience) in health economics, economics, statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or other quantitative discipline as well as a proven track record of previous research in a relevant field. You will also have strong analytical and data analysis skills, experience conducting interviews and focus groups with key stakeholders and an established reputation and publication record.

The post is part-time (40%FTE) and fixed-term for 2 years.
