The Strategies to Increase Cervical Screening Uptake at First Invitation (STRATEGIC) trial was designed to investigate whether a range of novel interventions improve young women’s receptivity to and uptake of cervical screening when embedded within routine cervical routine practice.

As part of the trial, this study aimed to assess the cost-effectiveness of these interventions in terms of lifetime costs and quality adjusted life years (QALYs). Such information can support the redesign of cervical cancer screening services in the UK to reduce the future health and economic impact of cervical cancer.
