MaDOx: Monitoring & Diagnosis in Oxford
|Funding:||National Institute for Health Research|
|Collaborators:||Department of Primary Care, University of Oxford|
HERC is actively involved with MaDOx, the Oxford Centre for Monitoring and Diagnosis in Primary Care, a research programme set up to improve monitoring and diagnostic techniques used in General Practice and other NHS primary care settings. One of the aims of this research programme is to identify and select new and emerging diagnostic technologies through a process of horizon scanning. HERC is responsible for providing the review of health economic evidence for the horizon scanning group and where deemed necessary to undertake economic analyses in the form of decision analytic modelling to inform the likely cost-effectiveness of selected monitoring and diagnostic techniques.
