The OXTEXT research programme aims to develop and evaluate cost-effective systems of collaborative disease management for people with bipolar disorder including mood monitoring with systems such as True Colours. Using True Colours, EuroQoL EQ-5D is measured monthly alongside standard clinical mood ratings for individuals with bipolar disorder over 12 months. The health economic components of the programme aim to assess how clinical ratings of mood are related to resource use, estimate the sensitivity of the EQ-5D for events measured in patient’s notes, and measure the general quality-of-life impact of these events by mapping clinical ratings of mood to EQ-5D utility scores.

This study forms part of the OXTEXT research programme.
