London Public Health Observatory (LPHO)

Abstract
The LHO is an integral part of the network of twelve public health observatories (PHOs) across the UK and Ireland that form the Association of Public Health Observatories (APHO). The LHO produces information, data and intelligence on the health and health care of the 7.8 million people who live in London. Contains data on the following diseases: cancers, cardiovascular, diabetes, long term conditions, mental health, respiratory disease. In addition to providing intelligence for its London stakeholders, the LHO also has a national lead role on behalf of APHO on health inequalities, ethnicity and tobacco. It is the lead Observatory for NICE, the NHS Confederation and the Centre for Public Scrutiny.
