ONLINE INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH ECONOMIC EVALUATION

Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 September 2024

This course is for health professionals and health researchers who want to understand the basics of health economics and its relevance to the health service.

ONLINE INEQUALITY IN HEALTH AND HEALTH CARE: THEORETICAL AND EMPIRICAL CONSIDERATIONS 

Wednesday 06 - Friday 08 November 2024

This course will cover theoretical concepts on inequity and inequality in health as well as its measurement. It will also provide an overview of selected available (longitudinal) household survey data and cohort studies that combine socio-economic and demographic variables along with various health measures – these datasets provide good sources for empirical inequality in health research.

ONLINE APPLIED METHODS OF COST-EFFECTIVENESS ANALYSIS

Monday 25 - Friday 29 November 2024 (each afternoon)

Online Cost-Effectiveness Analysis In Stata Using Participant-Level Data

Tuesday 03 - Wednesday 05 December 2024 (each afternoon)

This course, aimed at those who have participated in the Applied Methods of Cost-Effectiveness Analysis course (although open to all) will provide an overview for data preparation and analyses using the statistical software Stata.

Online Course: Integrating Economic Evaluation into Clinical Trials

This newly developed course is designed for clinical investigators, managers, researchers and others working in clinical trials. It will give participants an understanding of what is required to enable an economic evaluation to be integrated into a clinical trial at the design stage. No previous knowledge or background in economics is required.

CLASSROOM OR ONLINE BASED UNDERSTANDING AND PREDICTING CHOICE BEHAVIOUR IN HEALTH: PREFERENCE ELICITATION AND ANALYSIS

Methods for understanding choices are applied in health care to assess preferences, analyse policies, conduct non-market valuation, and forecast behaviour. This course teaches introductory methods for devising experiments and modelling choice data in health care.
