Economic Evaluation of Healthcare Technologies
Economics applied to new and existing healthcare interventions; cost-effectiveness; modelling; clinical trials
Economic evaluation describes much of our work and its methods can be applied in many contexts to assess the cost-effectiveness of treatments, procedures, diagnostic methods, screening practices, healthcare delivery routes, new technologies. We carry out economic analysis alongside clinical trials using data from the trial. We also carry out modelling studies using data from trials and other sources. We have programmes of work focussed on genetic technologies and on perinatal and paediatric technologies. In all this work, we are constantly examining and refining aspects of the research methodology.
