DPhil Student

Pamela joined the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) and Green Templeton College in October 2020 as a DPhil student in Population Health. Her research is focused on developing an analytical framework to support commissioners and other local health authorities in England to assess integrated care services and make an efficient and accountable allocation of resources on the basis of public values and stakeholders’ preferences. Pamela is supervised by Associate Professor Apostolos Tsiachristas, Professor Ray Fitzpatrick and Professor Rafael Perera.   

Before joining the Nuffield Department of Population Health, Pamela worked as an advisor to the Health Minister of Colombia and as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (Social Protection and Health Division).  She has accumulated over eight years of experience in health policies and has served as a lecturer in Health Economics and Welfare Analysis & Measurement for undergraduate students at Universidad del Rosario (Colombia). 

Pamela trained in economics (first class honours) at Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. She holds an MSc in Economic Policy from University College London (UCL) and an MSc in Social Policy and Planning (with distinction) from London School of Economics (LSE).
