Abstract: Join us for a HERC seminar series featuring insightful presentations from HERC researchers Philip Clarke, Oliver Rivero-Arias, and Sophie Cole. The presentations will delve into the rich history of health economic research and gain valuable insights into recent research activities and methodologies.
The seminar will give an insight into HERC research including pioneers in health economic evaluation and their legacy, the concept behind quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) including a review of why they were developed, and an overall overview of the history of economic evaluation. The seminar will be held in the L1 Main Meeting Room, Richard Doll Building from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, after which there will be an opportunity to continue the conversation during lunch.
